Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • We just heard of Jack's passing. We knew him through Audrey and always enjoyed his company. Jack was one-of-kind ...a very special person. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Jim Haier (friend) on: Jun 09, 2018

  • Everybody knew Jack at Club Regent,he made most everybodys day, if he didnt make your day there was something wrong cause Jack was funny happy all the time, his jokes were great. But Jack was a very sincere compassionate person deep down. And a great salesman, how could you not buy something from jack lol.Jack reminded me of my father who has passed on many years ago , I would come home and tell my husband how Jack reminded me of my father all the time. Very lovable and sincere deep down but his wit was very charismatic. Gonna miss you Jack. God Bless - Posted by: connie gauvin (friend(casino worker)) on: Aug 02, 2016

  • I recognized him immediately. That is how I remember him. I think everyone liked Jack. You would be hard pressed to think or say anything bad about him. In this picture he is smiling and that is how I remember him. He was always smiling, and was always happy. I used to see him at the dances at Pro Teen and Chalmers. I remember as always seeing him in a suit or his suede jacket. He was just such a nice "guy"I used to see him on Hespeler when I was walking home from Chalmers dance on Fridays , to my home on College Avenue where we had to move after living in Elmwood. So even though all my friends lived in Elmwood and I "still hung" around in Elmwood. He was older than I was and was the kind of guy that could just be a great friend. It was safe in those days but he would start talking and telling me stories and would talk and would always say "oh come on I will walk you home." And so we would walk down Redwood and then to Salter and then to College. He would talk all the way telling me stories and then say good night until the next time. Reminiscing about my teen age years and my late brother who also knew Jack, I think of him often. It was just a few weeks ago that I thought of him. I feel so sad that he has passed. - Posted by: marianne cherniuk (friend) on: Jul 23, 2016
