Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD JANUSZ (October 15, 1934 - July 19, 2016) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Richard Janusz on July 19, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Richard was born October 15, 1934 in Warsaw Poland. Richard was predeceased by his father Romauld; mother Maria; and first wife Marilyn; and stepmother Helen. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Gisele; daughter Shannon (Kent) and grandchildren Caitlyn, Nolan; son Randy (Souksavane); brothers Mark (Beverly), Ron (Lesley), Michael (Christine) as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his extended family, Gisele's children; Joel (Rachelle), Daniel (Shelle), Colin (Cassandra), Justin (Shannon), Sylvie (Martin) and Gisele's grandchildren. It is hard to put in to words the profound impact that Richard had on everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, generosity, quick wit and for the tremendous dedication and love that he gave to his family and friends. He truly had a heart of gold. We will forever miss spending time with him sharing his greatest joys in life, be it sailing, skiing or reminiscing over a bottle of scotch. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Gisele, Shannon, Randy and families, I extend my most sincere condolences. I called the shop today for an appointment and was shocked and saddened to learn of Richard's passing. Richard was my hairdresser for over 50 years. A visit to his shop was always for more than just a superb haircut - it was also a visit to a good friend. Dear Gisele, we are so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. We had such a nice visit in Regina this spring. Richard spoke excitedly about taking another cruise and dearly wanted us to join you. This was a man who truly knew how to live life abundantly and to the fullest. We hope to see you soon. Gisele, Shannon, Randy and families: Bob and I extend our deepest sympathies to all of you. Richard was my hairdresser for 40 years and in the last several years became Bob's as well. A visit to the shop was for more then just a haircut, a colour or a perm......it became a time to visit with a friend. Over the years we got to know each other's families and questions were always asked about how everyone was doing.
