Met Charlie on Stradford Street back in 2004, never met such a caring, honest and loyal friend, so many good memories spending time with him, some wild times too I will never forget.. made a lot of mistakes in my younger years and some involved him yet time would pass and he would still be there, he never gave up on me and I am forever grateful for everything he had done for me over the years.. the last time I seen him was at our buddy Ryan’s funeral in February of 2016, we had talked about getting together to work on some of his projects as I did for him for many years, I had moved away to pursue a career May 2016, unfortunately I was not able to make it for his service when he passed and it still hurts that I couldn’t make it but I know he would have understood.. you are missed dearly man much love and respect and I will see you on the other side when my time comes.. rest easy brother - Posted by: Shawn (Long time friend) on: May 02, 2025

Not sure how to say goodbye to someone I adored and admired so much over the years. For months I've been in denial. I hope you are at peace buddy. Will miss you everyday. Thank u for everything u taught me and mostly for always being my friend. Years could pass and when I would come visit it would be like only a couple days passed. You will forever be loved and remembered as a best friend by many. Rest easy and thanks again for everything. - Posted by: Roxy (Friend) on: Oct 08, 2016

My late husband, Maurice, and Charlie were dialysis patients on similar schedules at St. Boniface Hospital about 5-6 years ago. You were kind enough to help us out with transportation and always a friendly word from both you & Tasha. Thank you Tasha and Charlie for schooling me in some of the secrets to making dialysis visits more bearable(and affordable) for both my husband and I. You were such a loving couple and let nothing get in the way of that. My most sincere sympathy on your loss to all of Charlie's family. - Posted by: Lucille Rybuck (none) on: Jul 29, 2016

I met Charlie when he was working at the 711 by my house went in there many times after work to get some munchies he would say here take these day old sandwiches we have to throw them out anyways. That was awesome at the time i was single and i lived of those sandwiches and pizza from the bar. Soon later Charlie got a job with me at the bar where we had so many good times. Charlie had a heart of gold I do not think I ever met anyone that had anything bad to say about Charlie.Charlie you will always be remembered by me as one of the nicest people i have ever met. Thank you for being awesome - Posted by: Rick Parsons (Friend) on: Jul 29, 2016

Well Charlie there is way too many memories to share. You have been a massive part of my life for so long. If it was for you I wouldn't have met the father of my children. You were always there when I needed you no matter what the reason. You will forever be missed and forever loved. I happy that you have found peace. May you fly high and always watch over the ones you love and the ones who love you. - Posted by: Shandra (close family friend) on: Jul 28, 2016

I remember Charlie back from the old days in St. James and at Bumpers. We used to have so much fun. When I moved away from Winnipeg we lost contact with each other. I'm truly saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Charlie. Shane I am so sorry for your loss. Keeping you and the rest of the family in my thoughts. - Posted by: Katryna (Friend) on: Jul 28, 2016

It's true to me now that only the good die young. Charlie was the most helpful, friendly, easygoing, happy guy I have ever met. I not only had worked with Charlie at Cadorath when he was a flame sprayer but I also worked with him on his latest passions: his trikes. I am still in shock that this great caring gentleman is gone. I will miss his regular visits to my shop, where we would discuss all the things he wanted to build once he was able enough. Such a lover of life taken too soon. Miss you buddy.
