EDITH WITT With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 22, 2016. Mama was born December 2, 1928 in Tomaschowka, Poland. She leaves to mourn her children, Arthur, Erika, Heidi (Lee) and son-in-law Harry; seven grandchildren, Craig (Kathy), Darcie (Bryan), Shawn, Dawn (Jessie), Virginia, Brandon and Tyler; and four great-grandchildren, Reegan, Mila, Joshua, Charles and Severin. She is survived by one sister Lottie. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert; daughter Wendy; sisters, Ida and Erna; and brothers, Alfred and Oscar. Mama will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mama's greatest joy was to have her family around her. She will always be in our hearts and memories. We would like to thank Dr. Loepp for her compassionate care and also the Home Care Staff at Devonshire House for their help and care. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB. A private interment has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation available at the reception.
