"Drew," suddenly passed on July 25, 2016 due to a history of heart disease. Drew was predeceased by his brother Joe Hermkens. He is survived by his adoptive parents, Jake and Betty Miller; brother Hal Hermkens; wife Rina Hermkens; his loving dog Buddy; stepson Keith; daughter Ashley Benio and her two children, Jade and Masin; daughter Heather Hermkens and her two children, Tayven and Marcus; son Christopher Hermkens and his daughter Shifirah; daughter Danielle Hermkens and many extended family members and friends. Drew was an avid volunteer at Winnipeg Harvest. He touched many lives. He was a carpenter at heart, loved animals and helping his fellow-man. He had many gifted talents and loved the Lord. A service to celebrate Drew's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3 in the field behind Winnipeg Harvest, 1085 Winnipeg Avenue. Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Winnipeg Harvest so Drew can give back one last time. Drew will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
