ANNE BONKOWSKI Anne passed away peacefully on July 31, 2016, at the Arborg Personal Care Home, at the age of 93. Anne was born in Ledwyn, Manitoba, to pioneer parents, Peter and Anastasia Bonkowski. She attended Tarno School and in later years, resided and worked in Winnipeg, returning to Ledwyn to care for her aging parents. Anne was a gentle soul and will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring sister and aunt. She made the best homemade bread, dill pickles and pampushky. We also treasured the special "trips to the attic" and hearing stories of her growing up. Anne had a wry sense of humour, loved nature, and enjoyed the changes and wonder that every season brought. She is survived by her sister Mary; sister-in-law Jackie; nieces, Joanne Sarakula (Michael), Andrea Parrish and Elizabeth Hrycak (Travis); nephew Greg Hrycak (Tania Ruday) and their families. She was predeceased by her sister Eva, brother Peter and brother-in-law George. Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her many caregivers at the Arborg Assisted Living and Arborg Personal Care Home, and to her sister-in-law Jackie for her compassionate care.
