Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE JOYCE JOHNSON (nee CHARNEY) On July 4th, 1939 Adeline was born to Michael and Helen Charney of Ledwyn. She worked at the Riverton Co-op, Arborg CIBC and the RM of Bifrost Office until she married Kris Johnson in 1961. They bought the farm at Fiskilaek, raised four children, Jacqueline, Michael (Karen), Kenneth (Tamara) and Naomi (Alan); grandchildren Donald (Kayleigh), Drew (Inge), Colby, Autumn and Teaghan, Kristjan and Sarah; great granddaughter Hadleigh Adeline. Also left to mourn her loss her sister Lorraine (Hermann); mother-in-law Bertha Alexander; numerous in-laws, Jeff Vincent (Robin, Kyle). She was predeceased by husband Kris in 2011; daughter Leslie; parents Michael and Helen Charney. Adeline and Kris farmed and ran a meat cutting operation. She was employed by Riverdale Place for 20 years. Her caring compassion touched many lives. Her life revolved around her family. She was a gifted homemaker and gardener. Her hands were never idle. Her lovely meals fed many a body and soul. We lost our beautiful mother/sister on July 31, 2016 at the Arborg and District Hospital. Celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Schenk officiating.
