Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ROGALSKY (nee WARKENTIN) February 8, 1926 - August 8, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, oma, sister, aunt and friend at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 90. Mom was predeceased by her husband Jake (2006), son Jim (2004), her parents and two brothers. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Edna (Kevin) Closs, Karen (Wilf) Harms and Andy (Laura); grandchildren, Allison Closs, Adam (Nicole) Closs, Kristin (Jonathan) Schorr, Michael (Heather Schellenberg) Harms, Lauren Harms, Stefan Rogalsky, Derrick Rogalsky and great-granddaughter Kadence Schorr; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born and raised in Glenlea, Manitoba, the third eldest of eleven children. Mom and Dad were married in 1949, where they farmed for fourty-three years until they retired to Winnipeg in 1992. Mom was a homemaker, who enjoyed and excelled at cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. Mom volunteered with MCC at the Material Resource Centre, where she sewed blankets for many years. A special thanks to the caring staff at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home where Mom resided for eight years. The family wishes to thank the Pastor and Church family of Glenlea Mennonite Church, for their visits, prayers and support. A service of remembrance and celebration will be held on Friday August 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenlea Mennonite Church, Hwy 75 at Glenlea Road, Glenlea, MB. Interment to follow after the service. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 5K9.
