DONNA POTOSKI (nee PROZNICK) February 11, 1946 August 17, 2016. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna Potoski. On Wednesday August, 17th Donna passed away at Gimli Hospital at the age of 70 years from Riverton, Manitoba. She was a beloved Wife, Mom, Nan, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Left to cherish her memories is her Husband Victor, and their daughters Lori-Anne (Chad), Melanie (Brad), grandchildren Lauryn, Keenan, Bryden, Gracyn, Colton, good friend Sherry Snifeld as well as her fur babies Mopsy and Missie. Donna is also survived by brothers Clif (Gail), Barry, sisters Lois (Sam), Karen (Bill), Bonnie (David), Karean, in-laws Sam (Lois), Mike, Harry, Josie (Norman), Eva, Pearl, Kay, Baldur and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was born on February 11th, 1946 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan and later moved to Poplarfield, Manitoba where she met the love of her life Victor. Mom and Dad were married July 16th, 1966 and just celebrated their 50th Anniversary with their family. Donna spent numerous years on construction sites alongside Victor working as camp cook. Together they enjoyed many summers in Dawson City, Yukon gold-mining. Mom loved to cook and bake, everyone loved her famous donuts and fresh bread. We always left well fed. She enjoyed spending her time in her garden and took pride in her flowers. This spring she made sure she had everything planted to perfection. She loved her grandchildren immensely and enjoyed spending all the time that she could with them. She was proud of each and every one of them. She will be deeply missed by us all. The family would like to thank the staff at Gimli Community Health Centre for their support and wonderful care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24th 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverton Community Hall. Interment to follow at Jaroslaw Cemetery.
