Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Tony was the kind of person you would meet once and always remember. His laugh was infectious, as well as his positive attitude and Sense of humor. He was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. He was kind, he was always a gentleman. He was always up for an adventure and most of all he was a great friend to have. He appreciated life and he always made me laugh. I only knew Tony for 3 years and maybe had ten occasions with him, hanging out in groups, but every time whether it was a second, to an hour or three...it was always memorable. He loved Erin and his pride and joy Lily. My deepest condolences to everyone, his family, his friends...I cannot imagine what you must be going through. My heart is broken from this horrific loss and I was only his friend. I think about him all the time. I guess I just wanted to say my piece and send my love to you. One thing that I can be certain of is that my life is better because I had the privilege of knowing Tony Halayda. Thank you for allowing me to share what's in my heart. I miss him so much. - Posted by: Amanda (Friend) on: Nov 24, 2016

  • Hugo and I want to express our deepest sympathy to the family. Anthony was our neighbour in the Riverdale development for 16 years. We watched Anthony grow from a boy to a young man. Although this was a tragic ending to a young man, Anthony was a very shy and caring individual who always said hello and always waved when passing by. Our condolences to his partner and both families. Anthony will live on through his daughter's eyes and in time she will know that her dad was a kind, gentle sole who loved his family very much. The loss of a son, father, brother, cousin is the saddest moment at such a very young age. Hugo and Lydia Heidinger - Posted by: Hugo & Lydia Heidinger (Neighbours 16 years) on: Aug 21, 2016

  • I read the obits on a daily basis but never thought I would see an obit for your son there. Parents are not supposed to bury their children. I am so so sorry Bobby. I remember how thrilled you were when Anthony was born - finally you had the son and daughter - one of each!! Enjoy Lily Jane - at least he left you a part of him to enjoy. Take care and remember- you and Anthony will be in my prayers. I am sorry I cannot attend the mass in Anthony's memory but I will be thinking of you and what you are presently going thru. Take care and enjoy that grand daughter ( I wish I had a grandaughter; I only have grandsons!!) - Posted by: violet konowich troschuk (friend) on: Aug 21, 2016
