Helene was born in Chortitza, Ukraine on October 27, 1921 and immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1953. Helene was predeceased by her husband David, son John, and is survived by her daughter Ingrid (John), daughter-in-law Lorna, grandchildren Kristin, Kurtis (Chelsea), Emily (Grant) and McKinley. Oma was also blessed with five great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Her strength and faith will continue to inspire those who knew her. A celebration of her life was held on September 15, 2016.
