CHERYL BELL With heavy and loving hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Bell at the age of 39 years; loving wife, adoring mother, cherished daughter, beautiful sister, sweet auntie, kind friend, and compassionate nurse. Cheryl lived her life with love; her greatest accomplishment and lasting legacy is in her dedication to her husband Jason, and children, Eric and Rachel. She adored her family. Cheryl was compassionate and kind hearted. She took pride in her role as a Labour and Delivery nurse at St. Boniface Hospital for 17 years. She was funny and fearless, and could brighten a room simply by being in it. There was a musical sound in her laughter, and a sparkle in her eyes. She loved the challenge of a puzzle, going to the farm, playing in her garden, planning a last minute wiener roast by the fire, discovering a new find at Costco, and getting away to spin the slots at the casino. Family gatherings made her heart sing. Cheryl found so much happiness and joy in life. She was filled with kindness and gratitude; thankful for every blessing. She taught us to love with an open heart. Cheryl, we love you so very much. A service in Celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road. Donations can be made to Eric and Rachel Bell's Educational Trust Fund. Please contact the family for account information.

  • My family and I send our sincerest condolences. Cheryl was a beautiful person inside and out. I not only got to witness her loving nature as a wife, and mother, I got to witness first hand her compassion as a nurse. My first child was a stubborn delivery. After being in labour for days in the hospital (I went in Monday, had her Wednesday) I was finally given a c-section. I was scared, my husband couldn't be with me but Cheryl just happened to be on shift that day. I remember crying hysterically in the operating room as they tried to put the mask on me to put me under. All of a sudden there was an angelic voice saying "Carla, I'm here. Your going to be okay. Just breath". I had forgotten Cheryl was there. Knowing I had her there made me relax and I was able to deliver my baby girl. ❤️ I'll always remember her voice that day and have a fond memory of her delivering my first baby. God only takes the best and sadly she is the perfect example. Sending love to her family as they mourn her loss. - Posted by: Carla Reitmeier (Cousin) on: Oct 06, 2016
