What a surprise to hear of Pere Alain's death. R.I.P. I was grateful to a friend who lives at Tache Home and she informed me. I have very warm and special memories of a Sabbatical year at Arnprior, Ontario 1994-1995. It was at Galilee that I first met and came to know Pere Alain. We had wonderful opportunities to share a mutual love for music (particularly, the piano music of Giovanni Marradi). Pere Alain was a great person who could make any of us there feel and know that God loves us. His simple sincerity and friendship was a treasure which I can recall with much fondness. I thank God for the gift of Pere Alain in my life and will always keep him in my prayers and thoughts. I offer my most sincere sympathy and prayerful support to his family and also to his religious family, the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. You will all be in my prayers as you bid him farewell on Saturday, Peace and Blessings from, Sister Connie Harkin SSND Dawson Creek, BC - Posted by: Sister Connie Harkin SSND (companion on the Sabbatical Journey at Galilee - 1994-1995) on: Oct 14, 2016
