ELLEN ANDREWS Unexpectedly on October 15, 2016, Ellen Marie Andrews aged 67 years passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Peter Andrews. She will be dearly missed by her siblings, Lenore (Don) Davies, Patricia Andrews of Seattle, and Leonard (Shelley) Andrews. She will also be missed by her nephews and nieces, Cory Davies, Jonah (Nicole) Davies, Amber (Brad) Anderson, Colin Smith, Derek Smith, Stephen (Sara) Andrews, and Perry Andrews, as well as great-nephews and niece, Hendrix and Chloe, Jacob and Elias, and Oaklyn. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she moved with her family to Winnipeg, where she grew up and went to school. She was a country music fan and loved to dance and sing, especially in the choir at St. Anthony's Church. Ellen always looked forward to attending the summer Rainbow Stage performances with family. She also loved shopping (especially for purses) and doing her puzzle books. Ellen was involved with WASO, Work and Social Opportunities, and faithfully went every day for work and volunteer placement. The family would like to thank the firefighters and paramedics, the Seven Oaks Hospital emergency staff, Ellen's care provider family and her special friend and respite worker, Clare. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. with Rev. Fr. Dominic Yuen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ellen's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Lenore, my condolences to you and your family on Ellen's passing. I remember playing with her many years ago when I was a little girl during a visit to your parents' house. My sisters and I had fun with Ellen that afternoon and I have always thought of her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Krystyl Harland (Nickarz) (Cousin) on: Nov 07, 2016

  • We are deeply sadden to hear of Ellen passing. She was a vital part of our WASO team. Always enjoying her time with here and assisting in our love for candles and our business. We will miss her smile and laughing in our shop. She became part of our team/family. She would often say she would say a prayer for us. Today we say a prayer for her soul and that she is a peace. We will miss you. Love Bruce & Sheila and the entire team at Soy Harvest Candles. - Posted by: Bruce Reynoldson & Sheila Sorochan (Owners of Soy Harvest Candles) on: Oct 21, 2016

  • Lenore--I do remember your sister, even though it has been many years. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a sibling is never easy but I am sure your memories of Ellen will bring you comfort in the days ahead. Love you. Love to all the family.
