JEAN BUHAY
Born: May 06, 1926
Date of Passing: Oct 15, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN BUHAY It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Jean Buhay (nee Koloski) on October 15, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel in 1971; long term companion, Walter Kowarchuk; brother Walter Koloski and sister Josie Warga. She is survived by her son Larry of Santa Clara, California as well as many nieces and nephews. Jean was born on May 6, 1926 in Winnipeg to Frank and Mary Koloski and worked for many years at the United Cigar Store and J.H. From Landscaping. For over three decades Jean was an active and enthusiastic member of the Ukrainian Legion, Br.141 Woman's Auxiliary, spending much pleasurable time volunteering and socializing at Legion functions. She had many loyal and loving life-long friends who Jean greatly enjoyed socializing with until her health deteriorated. During her life, Jean overcame many adversities and always displayed an incredible level of resilience, poise and commitment, showing great compassion to those around her. She will be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. Thank you to the caring and dedicated staff of Parkview Place who provided kind and committed care during the last years of Jean's life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CNIB. A private service has already been held. If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there's an emptiness within my heart that will never go away. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
