RICHARD CAMERON DALLAS THOMPSON
Born: Mar 27, 1980
Date of Passing: Oct 24, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD CAMERON DALLAS THOMPSON March 27, 1980 - October 24, 2016 We are devastated by the loss of our youngest son, little brother and best friend. His family was by his side at the time of his death. Richard is survived by his parents Rodney and Isabelle Thompson, his brother Ian, his sister Terri, her husband Jay and their children Fin and Kai, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Richard attended St. Johns-Ravenscourt grades one through to twelve as well as the University of Winnipeg. He lived in Winnipeg all of his life, enjoying it to the fullest. He traveled extensively and had an adventurous spirit. He worked for many years at POS Systems and was involved in all aspects of the business. Richard was a kind, gentle and loyal soul who could make anyone laugh. He was always there for family and friends. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital Emergency Intensive Care Unit for their compassion and comfort to Richard and for playing music for him during his last days. He always loved music. A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Tuesday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider applying to be an organ donor to Transplant Manitoba - in Richard's honour. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

I am so impressed that the staff of the intensive care unit at the Victoria Hospital played music for Richard during his last days. I too have lost a son recently and he loved Classical music. I didn't think to play his favourite music for him in the intensive care unit, during his stay. - Posted by: Lisa Morantz (Newspaper Reader) on: Oct 28, 2016

So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Far too young. Richard was one of my first friends at SJR 30 years ago. As years went on we lost touch, but periodically ran into each other, and could catch up. Thoughts are with Richard's family. Scott Douglas - Posted by: Scott Douglas (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2016
