EDITH KATHLEEN (KAY) GOODMAN (nee POUSTIE) September 20, 1932 - October 22, 2016 After a long and happy life filled with love and laughter, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kay Goodman. She is survived by her loving daughters Janice Foster (Chris) and Joan Goodman, loving grandchildren Morgan and Mason Foster and Jason and Jeremy Klaus, loving partner Mark Bruneau and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Kay is predeceased by her husband George, son Gregg, and her parents Ed and Francis Poustie. Kay passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care after a short diagnosis with cancer. Kay attended Norwood Collegiate and worked at Eaton's for a short time. When her children were growing up, many years were spent enjoying fun times at Betula Lake in the Whiteshell. She taught swimming lessons at the YMCA, refinished old furniture, collected antiques, participated in flea markets, curled at St. Vital Curling Club, was an avid bridge player, enjoyed gardening and her number one true passion in life was to travel. Kay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and true friend. Once George retired, they travelled extensively throughout the world visiting 30 countries making so many friends and memories. After his passing, she was fortunate to meet Mark and they continued Kay's love for travel, visiting 20 more countries in the short 5 year period they were together. Kay will be remembered by so many people being a kind and caring person, an inspiration and role model with a positive outlook and beautiful smile. They say people who love gardening are caring and very considerate about happiness of others; this was Kay. In keeping with Kay's wishes, there will be no service. We would like to thank all our amazing friends and family for all their love and support during this time. We especially thank the dedicated staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care for their magnificent care. If friends wish, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Travel as much as you can. As far as you can. As long as you can. Life's not meant to be lived in one place. www.voyagefuneralhome.com
