Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSCAR IVAN ORTIZ It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father Ivan on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 62 years. Surviving Ivan are his wife Ana of 38 years, daughters Crisly, Soraya, Jasmin grandchildren Analy, Tatyana, Jasaya, Jeremya, Mateo, his mother and loving nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters and many more family members around the world who will honour and cherish his memory. Ivan was born and raised in Atiquizaya, Ahuachapan El Salvador moved to Winnipeg with his wife October 28, 1988. Besides his family his passion was futbol (soccer) which he played since he was nine years old. He became a well know name in the play-field. In Winnipeg he played on numerous teams as well as becoming a successful coach, and won champions with teams such as Guatemaltecos and J.U.G.S.A. He was a fighter and had a strong character and was always there when people needed him. His grandkids were his light and he spent as much time as he could with them. Papi will truly be missed but will be remembered through tons of beautiful memories and now as our guardian angel. Until we meet again. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their compassion and support to the St. Boniface emergency team as well as the ICU team, your care and respect for Ivan was greatly appreciated. Prayers will be held on Friday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. with Visitation at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel.
