THEODORE (TED) STEINBRENNER It is with broken hearts that our family announces the passing of Ted after a battle with cancer on October 29, 2016. Ted is mourned by his wife Alweina; his children Glenn (Roslyn), Brenda (Tim), and Wendie (Shawn); his grandchildren Kyle (Robyn), Cole (Laurelle), Brynne (Daley) and Hillary, Amy (Nick) and Katelyn (Hesham), Marin and Dorian; and his great-grandchildren Magnolia and Adaline, and Nicholas. Ted was born in Poland in 1932, and immigrated to Canada just after the Second World War. He married Alweina in 1955 and have enjoyed many happy years together. He worked for many years at Weston's Bakery and retired in 1995. He enjoyed fishing with his family, golfing with his many friends, bowling with his "Bowling Group" and most recently lawn bowling. The funeral will be held at Meadowood Manor Fellowship Hall, 577 St. Anne's Road on Friday, November 4, 2016. There will be a viewing at 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. The manor has requested that family and friends park across the road at the St. Vital Centennial Arena at 580 St. Anne's Road. Ted has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Meadowood Manor Foundation.
