Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON JAMES WATSON February 27, 1957 - October 30, 2016 Sadly Gord passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Concordia Hospital after a 15 month battle from surgical complications. He will be fondly remembered by his mother Dorothy; sister Cindy and her children Jessica and Colin; brother in law Darren and his children Tyler and Larissa. He made many friends over his 59 years, especially his John Black Church family and the Dasch Menno Bay residents. He was predeceased by his father George M. Watson; sister Audrey and grandparents George and Agnes Watson and Harry and Mary Pacholek. He was at H.L. Softley School for a number of years, Arc Industry and at W.A.S.O. for over 25 years. Gord started bowling 5 pin when he was 14 years old and continued until just before his surgeries. He enjoyed music of all kinds, including church, songs his sisters played, Lawrence Welk, and especially John Denver's "Country Roads". Papers of all kinds were a favourite of his including the Free Press, The Sun and the grocery store flyers. A memorial service will be held at John Black United Church, 898 Henderson at Roberta Avenue on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Memorial Fund of John Black Church or WASO Inc, 840 McLeod Ave, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
