Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I met Joe when Mike Janz started dating Cheryl Popiel. Not having grown up with the opportunity to know a lot of my Dad's family (Bernie Popiel), I was eager to meet Joe and learn anything I could about the Popiel clan. Joe was always kind enough to share stories of the relatives I never knew. Both Joe and Doris were very generous souls whenever I had the opportunity to see them. Joe was the spitting image of my memory of my grandfather (Nicholas Popiel) and he even walked like my grandpa! I am saddened by Joe's passing although he now has the opportunity to be welcomed to the other side by all of the Popiels who have gone before him. I send my heartfelt condolences to the family. - Posted by: Krista Kirkness (nee Popiel) (Joe was my Dad's (Bernie Popiel) cousin) on: Nov 30, 2016
