Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GRAMIAK April 27, 1942 November 3, 2016 Mary Gramiak, 74 years of age, passed away on November 3, 2016, at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was born on April 27, 1942 in Hafford, Saskatchewan, to Tomko and Annie (nee Muranetz) Baran, predeceased. Through many years of love and laughter, Mary fought difficult health issues, until finally the heart of her beautiful soul failed. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Andrew (Mary), Tony, Michael, Rose, Victoria, and Katherine (Metro). She leaves behind her beloved husband Frank; sister Sylvia (Paul); and brother, John (Kathy) nieces, nephews, numerous loving relatives, and friends. Mary grew up in the town of Hafford, Saskatchewan. Later, she moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she met and married the love of her life, Frank Gramiak. They were happily married for 45 years. Much to her enjoyment, she filled these years with love of family and friends through numerous gatherings, events, and outings. Her career brought her to MacDon Industries, where she worked and retired at 25 years of service. Mary was very proud and active in her Ukrainian heritage, Catholic faith, and community. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, prayers, support, and acts of kindness during this time. Extending their gratitude to the medical staff of the Seven Oaks hospital units; Emergency, Intensive Care, and the Unit 5 medical staff, St. Boniface Cardiac services, Father Jerry Talarski, Father Zachary Shwaluk, and Father Isidore Dziadyk, for their support in Mary's final days. The rosary will be recited by the UCWLC on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m., followed by prayers at 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM, Fr. Zachary Shwaluk, OSBM, and Fr. Jerry Talarski on Friday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Anthony Bourgeois, Bruno Visintin, Czeslaw Jasiewicz, Richard Wroblewski, Ziggy Konieczny, and Piotr Bialy. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Nicholas Church Improvement Fund, Holy Family Perpetual Care Fund. The rosary will be recited by the UCWLC on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m., followed by prayers at 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by the Basilian Fathers on Friday, November 11 at 10:00 am also at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Uncle Frank , we can't begin to imagine how heartbreaking this is for you. Full of spirit and life, Mary always smiled even when she was in pain. I really appreciated her emails that were always insightful.
