GIOVANNI JOHN BUCCINI July 20, 1945 - November 4, 2016 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and nonno Giovanni John Buccini on November 4, 2016. He was born in Villalago, Italy and immigrated to Winnipeg at the age of 17. He leaves to mourn his passing and will be so dearly missed by his loving wife Rina; daughter Sandy (Franco); son Michael (Maria); and his four precious grandchildren, Marissa, Sophia, Johnny and Joseph. Also left to mourn are his in-laws, Angie (Gus), Lena (Sam), Tony (Tita), Sharon and numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his father Emidio, mother Addolorata, brothers Gino and Antonio, sister Dina and his brother in law John. He has one surviving brother Fernando. John was a calm, gentle and caring man who loved and worked very hard for his family. He loved and cherished his wife of 48 years Rina and was a devoted father to his children Sandy and Michael. His utmost pride and joy of his life were his four grandchildren, Marissa, Sophia, Johnny and Joseph, there was nothing he would not do for them and he was so very proud of them. What kept John going the last five months was his faith in Jesus and the support of his family and Springs Church. A private service will be held on Monday, November 14 at Springs Church. Rest in peace Nonno, we love you very much

  • My deepest condolences to Sandy, Frank, Marissa, Sofia and family. Your Dad and I spoke many times, many years ago when we would see each other at the playground. He shared many memories with me of his younger years in Canada and how he knew my Father and family. He was proud to share the many Portuguese words he learned. He was a very sweet man and it was clear how good he was to your girls. - Posted by: Tammy Galvao () on: Nov 16, 2016
