MARISOL BERNARDITA JOHNSON (BARAHONA) February 15, 1999 - November 8, 2016 On Tuesday, November 8, 2016 Marisol passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the tender age of 17. Marisol was predeceased by her Abuela Bernardita Munoz, grandfather Barry Johnson, grandmother Gail Johnson and Aunt Liza Bjornson. She leaves behind her Abuelo Luis Barahona-Espinoza; father Richard Barahona; mother Angella Johnson; brother Kamilo Barahona-Johnson; stepsisters Celeste Phillips and Jodee Berthelette (Nathan Settee); nephews Carter and Tayvian; niece Acelyn; and boyfriend Conner Merlin-Laforge, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins here in Winnipeg, Chile, British Columbia, and Ontario. Marisol touched the lives of so many with her generous heart and love for animals, children, dance, art and music. She will be missed by all of us. A special thanks goes out to the Winnipeg Chilean Association, the Chilean Community of Winnipeg, both families and all the friends who have supported us through this difficult time. We will join together to celebrate her life Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverwood Church - Warehouse Location, 270 Gordon Ave. (entrance off Stadacona Street), with reception to follow. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

  • Marisol/Maddy was my very best friend she always protected and loved everyone she wouldn't care who you were she would be the most bestest person you would ever meet how I met maddy was in junior high and I wasn't the coolest in the school to be honest I was a loser than oneday she came up to me and asked me to chill, I asked her why because I was worried I would ruin her popularity but she did not care one bit.... I thank maddy for being the bestest friend I ever had since I first moved to winnipeg thoses 5-6 years of friendship meant the world to me and I will cherish them forever R.I.P Marisol thank you for watching over your goddaughter as long as me and your family....
