Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I had the honor and pleasure of knowing and caring for both Dorothy and Peter over the years while they resided at Golden Links Lodge. I cant begin to tell you how blessed I feel that the lord allowed me to be a part of their lives, and after Peter lost his wife of so many years, I made it my mission to ensure that Peter continued to feel loved and cared for in his remaining years as a widower. He had a wonderful sense of humour and it was such a joy to talk with him and tease him. The sparkle in his eye always assured me that he enjoyed our relationship and appreciated the extra attention that was always given to him. With the love and support from his wonderful family, Peter was able to live out the remainder of his life content that he was loved and cared for, knowing that some day he would be reunited with his beloved Dorothy. My deepest condolences goes to his family. Although I was only his caregiver, I will miss him very much and I'm just very thankful to the lord that he was allowed to live a full life without any real long term suffering. Rest in Peace "boyfriend". - Posted by: Maureen Willcox (Registered Nurse/Caregiver) on: Nov 30, 2016

  • Its been many years since you retired from New Flyer - I'm only on my third year. As a new young worker at the company I admired your commitment and diligence on the job. You cared about the quality of your work and showed compassion and friendliness to your fellow workers. Although gone you have not been forgotten. My condolences to your friends and family.
