My mother, the late Kay Sutherland (nee Shordee) was an aupair for Lebeau and her sister Betty before she married my late father Howard. I recall visiting the homestead in the 1960s when as a family we visited Winnipeg. I've some photos of the girls and my mother if you would be interested. LeBeau spent many years making the Gimli Art Show a success. She would greet all who visited the Art Show with a welcoming smile and there never was a more gracious, hard working curator for the weekend event. LeBeau also made every artist feel special. She gave them encouragement, if needed, and always told them how much she enjoyed viewing their work. They say that every position can be filled by another, but I don't think this is true, and particularly not in the case of LeBeau. - Posted by: JoAnne Gullachsen (friend) on: Dec 09, 2016

My condolences. LeBeau was a very fine lady whom I have had the privilege of knowing since 1985. Please have Cary and Brent contact me. Thank you - Posted by: Tom Morrison (Friend and insurance agent) on: Dec 08, 2016
