Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA CONCEICAO TAVARES September 7, 1933 - December 9, 2016 Maria Conceicao Tavares passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 83. She leaves behind her children Filomena (Jose), Antonio (Adriana) and Joao (Tereza); her grandchildren Sandy, Bruce, John, Tanya, Chris Salina, Elizabeth and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jose and daughter Zelia. Maria was born in Sao Miguel, Acores and immigrated to Canada in 1979. She enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping in touch with her friends. The family would like to thank Riverview Health Centre, 3E - Palliative Care Unit. Prayers will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N.
