OLIVE CONLEY It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Olive Conley (Elliott) on December 7, 2016 at the age of 99 at Donwood Personal Care Home. She is survived by sons, John and David (Val); grandchildren, Michael (Lisa), Karen (Trevor), Wendy, Jennifer (Marc) and Andrew (Sarah) and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, William, Gillian, Isabel, Logan and Jaxon as well as her sister-in-law Dot and niece Ethel. Olive was predeceased by husband Fred Roderick; son Freddy; brothers, Les and Bud, sisters Connie, Ethel and daughter in law Dianne. Olive was born March 1917 to Ethel Elliott in Fort Erie Ontario and was married to Fred (R.C.A.F.) in 1940. Olive and Fred were stationed in France and Germany where they spent many wonderful years. After Fred's passing in 1961, Olive moved from Europe to Canada finding a new home in Winnipeg. She worked in numerous capacities having to support three children on her own. Olive was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church. For many years she was active in The Order of the Eastern Star belonging to St. John's #18 chapter and attained the level of Worthy Matron. Cremation has taken place and a funeral will be held at a later date. Olive will be buried at Brookside Cemetery alongside her son, Freddy. The family would like to thank the staff at Donwood Personal Care Home for their kindness compassion and caring.
