MARIA (MARY) ZELICH (nee WOLANSKA) After a long and full life, Mary Zelich passed away in her sleep on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 96. She is finally united in heaven with her beloved husband Bill, who died exactly 31 years before her on December 18, 1985. Left to cherish her memory are son Dan (Louise) Zelich, daughter Sylvia (Alex) McPhail, and grandchildren Caroline, Janine (Chris), Kate and Matthew. Born in 1920 in Ukraine and having suffered through many hardships, Mary immigrated to Canada in 1954. Here she met Bill Zelich, who was also from Ukraine and they were married in 1955. They spent many happy years together raising a family. After widowhood, Mary was kept very busy with her beloved grandchildren and continued spending lots of time with her family. Mary's family wishes to thank Windsor Park Place staff and residents for their care and friendship during her two years there. They would also like to sincerely thank the devoted and caring staff and residents at Vista Park Lodge. They made her last two years of declining health more pleasant with their friendship, love, care and compassion, allowing her to die with dignity. Thank you also to Father Leo Couture for administering the Sacrament of the Sick and for leading the prayer celebration. A private family funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to a charity of choice. WE MISS YOU ALREADY, BABA! VICHNAYA PAM'YAT 204-586-8044
