IRIS ROSALYNE DIANA KORANICKI With sadness the family announces the passing of Iris on December 18, 2016, at the age of 83, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Iris was known to her friends as Roz, and later "Irish" at her most recent residence at Holy Family. Left to mourn her legacy is her beloved daughter Tracy; granddaughter Kristi; great-grandchildren Knowle, Vayda and Quin, along with sister-in-law Angela, and caregiver and friend Joyce. Rosalyn was born to Sam and Mary Koziarska. She grew up and resided in the North End community of Winnipeg all her life. She had an amazing knowledge for sports and a great love of animals. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards (crib), basking in the sun and winning on scratch lottery tickets. Her feisty determination gave her the ability and strength to overcome many obstacles and challenges. Her wit, generosity and love will be greatly missed and cherished for years to come. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roz's honour to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 0R3. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

  • My condolence to Tracey Kristi and family. I have so many fond memories of roz . We first met when I came into her home in 1992. She was so proud that her daughter had a restaurant so we started going on Wednesdays everybody was so excited to see her. Sometimes we would even go twice a week. She gave me advice help me write letters and helped me in so many other ways. People come into your life for a reason and I'm so happy that she came into my life she was a great friend.
