JOAO (JOHN) CARLOS FERREIRA On January 3, 2017 beloved husband of Maria Ferreira (Lopes); survived by two daughters Suzanna da Silva (Alvaro) and Michelle Ferreira; son Nelson Ferreira (Kelly); four granddaughters, Milena, Kendra, Isabella and Ali; brothers Jose (Connie), Gil (Donna); sister Rosa Dirado; sisters-in-law Luisa Ferreira, Zita Lopes and Luisa Carrerira (Luis); mother-in-law Luisa Lopes, nieces and nephews, godchildren and cousins. Predeceased by parents Manuel and Irene Ferreira; brother Manuel and brother-in-law Jose Lopes. John was born in Faja de cima, Sao Miguel, Azores and came to Canada with his family in 1963 at the age of 17. He worked at the Health Sciences Center until his retirement. He loved his garden, his Montreal Canadiens, his family and foremost his grandchildren. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
