FRANCES KLIPPENSTEIN March 10, 1932 - January 6, 2017 My mom, Frances Verrick Klippenstein (nee Como), passed away unexpectedly from heart failure, Friday, January 6, 2017. She rejoins her "King of Hearts" (her husband Hartley) who passed away 10 months ago. Frances began her life March 10, 1932 born of Veronique Gladu dit Batteau (Gladu) and Victor Vieu dit Come (Como). Her early childhood was spent in the Cranberry Portage area and later, Winnipeg. My folks lived in Winnipeg, York (ON), Okotoks, and finally Lorette, Landmark, and Steinbach. She leaves a big hole in the hearts of her grandchildren, Micayla and Katie, her daughter, Cherie, and son-in-law, Leonard Brisebois, many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. From a large family of 16 children, my mom is survived by her younger siblings Loretta Letkeman (widow of Jack) and Johnny (Tanis). She taught us all the importance of family, generosity and hospitality, and faith. Fran's memorial service will take place Saturday, January 14, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Cremation has taken place.
