ELAINE SHARON PETERSON April 14, 1944 - January 23, 2017 Peacefully at her residence, Elaine Peterson, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 72. She leaves to mourn, her daughter Kimberley (Porkchop and Dixie); two sons Rick (Dee) and Doug (Janet); four grandchildren Tonya (Pedro), Ricky (Lisa), Lisa and Tyler; and two great-grandchildren Sean and Michelle. Elaine was predeceased by her six brothers and sisters Alan, Richard, Irene, Shirley, Helen, and Alice, as well as seven siblings who died in infancy; her parents Martin Henry and Margaret Ann Skadsheim, and by special friend Erdman Martens. Elaine was a small but feisty lady. She enjoyed the Jets and especially her cat Fluffy. She loved shopping and going out for lunch with her daughter Kim. She can now rest in peace and will not be lonely any more. Celebration of Elaine's Life will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. I was Terribly Sorry to hear of the news from Kim about the passing of her mom, my Auntie Elaine and my moms younger sister this past Monday...Aunt Elaine was one of mine and my sisters Favorite aunts, we spent a lot of time together growing up visiting her and my cousins and spending alot of fun weekends together in Wpg and later on in Oakbluff and Starbuck.
