EMILY GOW (nee ZANYK) 1924 - 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, aunt and friend, Emily Olive Gow on February 1, 2017 at the age of 92. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Lori and son Sandy. Predeceased by husband Robert Duncan (Bob) and son John. Emily was raised in a large family in rural Saskatchewan and Manitoba. After graduating high school she attended the Saint Boniface Nursing School in Winnipeg, graduating with honours. She married her loving husband Bob in 1950 and they spent 61 wonderful years together. During and after raising her three children Emily had a career nursing in Dauphin and later in Winnipeg as a public health nurse and nursing supervisor. After retirement she and Bob loved to attend wood carving shows in Canada and the USA. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to her caregivers whose dedication helped to make her last few years at the Shaftesbury Park as comfortable as possible. A memorial service will be held at Saint Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford St., Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Registered Nurses' Alumni Association fund at: www.saintboniface.ca/foundation/en/donate or phone 1-866-472-4682 CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
