She was born on January 21, 1937 in Selkirk Manitoba. She is predeceased by her father Emil Malmstrom, mother Elsie Swain, husband, Herb Heppner, daughter Gloria Murray, and son-in-law Wes Peters. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Heppner's passing. I remember her fondly as a devoted mom and wife. I was a good friend of daughter Lois when I was in junior high and have good memories of visiting the Heppner home and having sleep overs with Lois. When they moved from Elmwood to the condo with a pool we were pretty happy! They were the only people we knew who had a swimming pool and Lois and I enjoyed our 'pool time' every time I visited. Mrs. Heppner also gave my sister and I a daily 'morning wake up call' to make sure we got to school on time. Our mom left early for work and we didn't always hear the alarm but we always heard the phone ring and heard a "good morning" from Mrs. Heppner. She was such a mom and loveable lady. R.I.P. To Lois, Andrew and Kevin and families, our deepest condolences for loss of your Dear Mother and Grandmother. She was our dear neighbour since 1973. Geraldine will always be remember for her beautiful smile, her remembering birthdays for my children and my grandchildren, and greeting me with big smile when I brought her Mother's Day flowers as her Daughters were living in US. She was always available to come for coffee and home made cookies as we shared our life memories and talking about grand kids May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Vlasta Amizic (Neighbour at Tuxedo Towers) on: Feb 22, 2017

I will always remember how kind Mrs. Heppner was and how she treated us as family. She was very thoughtful and always gave me a yearly cash tip for delivering her the Winnipeg Free Press newspaper. I will have fond memories of her. Sincere condolences to the whole family. - Posted by: Vesna Amizic (Neighbour at Tuxedo Towers) on: Feb 19, 2017

My mother, Marjorie Will (nee Hill), was Geraldine's older cousin and she also grew up in Garson. Although my mom did not see much of Geraldine later in life she often mentioned Geraldine and remembered those early years fondly. Our condolences on the passing of your mother and grandmother. - Posted by: Karen Chow (First cousin once removed) on: Feb 18, 2017

I had the privilege of meeting the Heppners in the 80's when herb worked in probation. They were truly delightful people, and I will never forget them. R.I.P. - Posted by: Bill Stevens (Friend) on: Feb 18, 2017
