OLGA WIENS Olga Wiens passed away peacefully on February 16, 2017 at the age of 101. She is survived by her children Katie, John (Lynn), Helga (Helmut) and Ruth; her grandchildren Brad, Rob, Kristin, Jennie, Lisa, Jennifer, Jamie, Katie and Allie; her eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her husband Jacob J. Wiens and son Menno. Olga was born August 27, 1915 to Jacob and Justina Langemann in Lustigstal, Crimea. Her family came to Canada in 1925 and she married Jacob in 1937. They spent their lives in North Kildonan and were founding members of the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church. She knitted countless mittens, tuques and socks that she donated to those in need. The family would like to thank Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home for their exceptional care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spiritual Care Program at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home. Date and location of funeral to be announced.
