  • My last conversation with Jan was on January 20, 2017. Even then she was grateful for the people around her and praising God for the miracles she was receiving. I will miss you Jan Joyologist Ostash. God bless you Michael I have to tell you a miracle had occurred in my life. My lung was very sick but they brought me to this amazing hospital did a procedure that drained the fluid of my lung and the Dr. just showed me a picture of 2 healthy lungs! My lung is fully inflated and it is healthy and it's normal and I can breathe and I am getting my life back! All praise goes to Jesus this miracle. His timing his doctors his nurses this place everyone's prayers...I'm so incredibly amazed. I will talk later...thanks for your prayers and well wishes...they all made a difference!! • I 1st met Janet 2 years ago. She was living in Ste. Anne and came to see me for CranioSacral treatments. She often brought along her sweet little granddaughter, Chelsea. I became close with Jan and cried with her when she found out the the Breast cancer had returned. She shared many things with me- mostly her love and devotion to God, her joy of life and her family. She adored Chelsea and loved her children and siblings. She was fun loving and cute, I will remember her sparkly blue eyes and her joy of life, even when she was so ill. Rest in Peace, beautiful Angel in Heaven. From Margaret Feilberg, Remedial Massage Therapist in East Braintree, Mb - Posted by: margaret feilberg (friend and patient) on: Feb 26, 2017

  • I was shocked and saddened to learn of Janet's passing.....she was still a young lady. I have fond memories of visiting with Janet, her siblings, Uncle Paul and Auntie Sylvia back in the 60's and 70's. Janet was always such a happy, fun-loving girl and I remember laughing a lot when we hung out. I'm sorry we lost touch over the years. My condolences to Janet's family and friends. Take good care. ♥ - Posted by: Catherine Westerberg (Demchuk) (Cousin) on: Feb 26, 2017

  • I worked with Jan for several years at Saputo. I will always remember how quick witted she was. Jan often would say things that would make us laugh and she was always so honest about things! A few years after she left , I heard that she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I had also been through Breast Cancer at the same time as her so I reached out via Facebook and traded stories. I still remember her saying that she had moved back to Winnipeg and that she was so happy to be near her family. I am so glad that Jan had her loved ones around her while she was sick. I know she will be dearly missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to her precious family. - Posted by: Sharon Gower (Coworker ) on: Feb 26, 2017

  • We lost a fighter today. Our dear friend and companion Jan Ostash passed away today. She has gone to glory after a prolonged fight with cancer. Jan was our friend and we started this help fund because of her. We donated to her fight to help her pay for alternative treatments. She fought. Her battle has ended. Ours continues. We are currently helping the next one who needs our help. We remember her for the fighter she was. Condolences to her family and many friends. Her message was a simple one. Don't wait. Time is not your friend. Live your life to the fullest, every day. Trust in the lord. Keep love in your heart. Thank you Jan and we know you have gone to peace and rest, we will miss you. - Posted by: Will and Gayle from ACT4love....alternative cancer treatment fund (friends and helpers) on: Feb 25, 2017

  • I was an annoying, loud and and not-so-attractive child. When my father met Paulette, my sister and I won the "step-family lottery". Janet took so much time of hers to spend with my sister and I when Dad and Paulette had to work. She took us horseback riding, she always bought us "Slush Puppies" in the summer. And she played in the pool with us. Even just last year she told me a hundred times that I hadn't in fact been a horrible child. She spent a lot of time and attention on us. She was just so kind and thoughtful to us. I will miss her so much. - Posted by: Julie MacQuarrie (Niece) on: Feb 25, 2017
