Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE BAIN SENIOR 1924 - 2017 Peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 George Bain passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. George is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Florence Elizabeth (Turner) Bain; two sons, Ken and George Junior; daughter-in-law Barbara and grandson John. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who are living in various cities across Canada. George's only sister Ellie Marsh predeceased him at the age of 95. George was a Boilermaker at the Canadian National Railway - Transcona Shops for 44 years. George and Florence raised their two boys in their only home on Hector Avenue in Fort Rouge before spending these past few years at the Canoe Club Retirement Community. The family would like to pay special tribute to Dr. Mike Dillon, Clarke Gallagher and the staff of Klinic, the tireless working staff of the Victoria General Hospital and the wonderful staff and friends of the Canoe Club Retirement Community.
