EMMA HILDERMAN On Sunday, March 26, 2017, Emma passed away, surrounded by the love of family and friends, at Luther Home. Emma is survived by her children and their spouses, Randy and Janet, Ruth and Randy, and Jeffrey, her grandchildren and their spouses, Tim and Nancy, Jen and Mike, Karin and Colin, Paul and Sharada, her great-grandchildren, Brett, Casey, Gordon, Mason, Nic, Maddy and Matthew, her sister and brother-in-law, Lydia and Henry, and her sister-in-law Joyce, also many nieces and nephews. Each and everyone held a special place in Mom's heart. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Ruby, and by her beloved husband of 69 years, Eddy, whom she missed deeply each and every day for the last three years. Mom and Dad's home was always a special gathering place and each family member has a special Grandma and Grandpa story. Mom's generosity went well beyond the family as she shared her handmade items with so many friends and acquaintances. Someone was always receiving a heartfelt gift from Mom. Emma was a faithful, lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church and even as she struggled with health issues these last few years her faith never wavered. She was a beloved part of the Luther Home faith community. The family would like to thank the Luther Home staff and residents for all their love and support during Mom's stay. If friends wish, a memorial to Luther Home, 1081 Andrews St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 2G9, in Emma's memory would be a beautiful tribute. Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Saturday, April 1, at 2:00 p.m. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

My condolences to the family. Emma was a kind soul who took pleasure in helping others. My primary contact with her was when she volunteered for Canadian Lutheran World Relief, quilting and supporting our mission. I well know this tradition runs deep in her family and we are grateful for this generosity. - Posted by: Robert Granke (friend) on: Apr 03, 2017

We met Emma and the Hilderman family while Ron's father was a resident of Luther Home. Emma was such a delight to know. Watching her and Eddy going out to family functions was inspiring. We fortunately got to see Emma a couple of months ago. Our condolences to all the Hilderman family. Rest in peace Emma - Posted by: Lynne and Ron Fotti () on: Mar 30, 2017
