Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN KATHERINE ROGOCKI June 14, 1930 - March 29, 2017 Jean Katherine Rogocki (nee Zolondek) passed away peacefully at East Gate Lodge on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the age of 86. Jean was predeceased by her husband Michael, her brothers John Zolondek and Joe Zalondek, and her partner Peter Skrupski. Jean is survived by her children: Joyce (Bob) Jackson, their children Brad (Theresa) Jackson and Tracy Jackson; Jim (Sandra) Rogocki, their children Laura (Chris) Skiba and Mark Rogocki; Don (Janet) Rogocki, their children Eric, Ryan and Kailey Rogocki; as well as great-grandchildren April, Summer, Josh, Camryn, Emma, Mateia, Zachary and Theoren. She is also survived by her sisters Francis Bukoski and Violet (Ed) Marek, brother Stanley Zolondek and sister-in-law Elsie Zalondek, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jean was born in the R.M. of Springfield on the family farm in 1930. She married Mike in 1949. They lived on the farm in Allegra, MB until 1963, when they moved to Beausejour. Jean was very involved in the Catholic Women's League at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed many activities with these wonderful women. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and cooking large meals. She enjoyed gardening and usually planted enough food to feed the entire family. Perogie making was one of her specialties. She passed this skill on to many others. Jean spent many years at the sewing factory in Beausejour; later, she was a custodian at both schools. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 6 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations can be made in Jean's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or St. Mary Roman Catholic Building Fund. Roly and I send you our condolences and love at the passing of your mom. I will always remember her cute smile and that twinkle in her eye. We are so sorry that we will not be at the funeral as we are closing up our home here in Phoenix. A candle was lit this past Sunday here in our church for Auntie.
