She is survived by her son Tony (Lynn), and her daughters Christine Turski (Douglas) and Irene. She also leaves to mourn her brother Stanley (Sharon), sister Maria Petriw (John), 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Mike, brother Simon, and daughter Donna. Victoria was born in a small village in West Ukraine on June 6, 1934. She and her family came to Canada in 1958 and settled in Winnipeg. Victoria had various part-time jobs over the years. She and her husband opened and operated a pizza restaurant, and after 10 years, had to retire due to the progression of her multiple sclerosis. Victoria loved to sing, and she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved to go mushroom picking and going to her cabin in the summer. She took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family. Our family will forever be grateful for all levels of healthcare staff at Bethania Personal Care Home. Thank you to Dr. Edin Tunovic for his care and compassion for Mom. To the health care aides and nurses, your love and caring made this journey bearable for us, the family. You are all so very special to us. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Kwiatkowski at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12 at Holy Eucharist Parish, 505 Watt St., followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery. I had the pleasure of caring for Victoria as a Health Care Aide and I'll always remember her as a sweet but very particular woman. I really enjoyed talking with her and spending time with her, and she always made it clear how thankful she was for the care we gave her. She will be missed. My condolences to friends and family. - Posted by: Emily () on: Apr 08, 2017
