TED BATENCHUK
Born: May 14, 1934
Date of Passing: Apr 24, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTED BATENCHUK Peacefully on April 24, 2017 at the age of 82, Ted went to be with the Lord. Left to cherish Ted's memory are his wife Evelyn of 55 years; his children, Tim, Reg, Colleen (Ken), Kelly (Neil); grandchildren, Katie and Aiden; as well as many nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mary; brother Kenneth; sisters, Margaret, Olga, Gertrude, Elsie and Annette. Ted was born on May 14, 1934 and was raised in Tyndall, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg where he worked as an accountant at Eastern Sales for 43 years. For many years, Ted enjoyed playing the accordion with his friends in their band the Melody Mates. Many summers were spent camping, taking road trips and later at the country pool with family and friends. Ted loved life and people, but most of all he loved being surrounded by his family. Ted will be fondly remembered by his family for his unconditional love, kindness, generosity and sense of humour, but above all his warm smile. The family would like to thank all those who cared and prayed for Ted. If friends so desire, a donation in Ted's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a future date. "A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best." Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

My Gigi was as very kind, loving, and generous man. I have so many fond memories of trips to the spotted cow and the half-moon, for hot dogs and ice-cream. I will always remember how we sneaked into his secret briefcase full of chocolate bars and candy, never telling Baba about it. He always made me feel very special, and I will miss him dearly. In my heart, he will never be forgotten. Katie Dudzinski- Granddaughter - Posted by: Katie Dudzinski (Granddaughter) on: Jan 14, 2021
