Mom was born in Elma, Manitoba, April 12, 1921, Eva Pohjonen, to Finnish parents, Herman and Anne Pohjonen, later changed to North. Mom was predeceased by husband William (Bill); daughter Sandra; granddaughter Cara; parents, Herman and Anne; sister Marie and brothers, Eric and Olli and many cousins and good friends. Mom is survived by daughter Carol Ans of Elma; sons, Richard (Janet), David (Torunn) of Lac Du Bonnet; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mom married William (Bill) McCalder April 1941; dad left for the Second World War within a few months and returned four years later to a wife and daughter.
