BEATRICE BAUER (nee MULVIHILL) April 3, 1938 - May 2, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Beatrice, with her family by her side, at the age of 79. Bea was predeceased by her husband Earl, daughter Erline, parents Ken and Mildred, and sister Moreen Pottinger. Bea is survived by daughter Carla McIntyre (Glenn), sons Erik and Paul, grandchildren Amanda (Aaron), Bryan, Heather (Brendan), Andrew (mom, Debbie Slota), and Brittney, brothers Tom, Dan, Lorne and Gerry (Lori), sister Leslie Clark, and many nieces and nephews. In November 1967, with her marriage to Earl, two families were blended into one. Bea enjoyed watching many sporting events, cheering on her children and in later years her grandchildren. Bea spent many years in the automobile accounting industry where she made life long friends, especially Colleen Rakowski, eventually retiring from Focus Hyundai. After retiring, Bea and Earl enjoyed travelling, including trips to Edmonton, Yuma, Davenport and Nashville. After Earl's passing, Bea, accompanied by her brothers, took her dream trip to Hawaii. Many enjoyable summers were spent at their trailer in Spruce Sands. There were many special memories with their grandchildren, one being the magic fires. Bea especially enjoyed getting together with family for dinners and other gatherings - such as the summer picnics at the lake. She enjoyed many years with the social club at 1630 Henderson Hwy. Here she met and made many new friends. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors on N3 East at Concordia Hospital. As per Bea's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Canadian Diabetes.
