Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMATILDA (TILLIE) SYS Peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2017, with her family at her side, Matilda (Tillie) passed away at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Tony), and her son Randy. Matilda (Tillie) leaves to mourn her sons Barry (Helen), and Wayne (Barb); her daughters Rachelle (Ken), and Tracey (Wayne); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister Violet, and her stepsiblings. She was born June 11, 1922 in Polonia, Manitoba where she grew up on the family farm with her numerous brothers and sisters. She moved to Winnipeg where she met her future husband Tony at a hall dance. They fell in love and married on June 1, 1945. There she raised her family. Although Mom struggled with her health in later years, she always strived to be as active as she could. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Irene Baron for their care and compassion during Mom's stay. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private family interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to D'Arcy's Arc Animal Rescue Centre, 730 Century Street, Winnipeg, MB. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
