DONALD MICHAEL GORDON It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Donald Gordon on May 6, 2017, at the age of 75 years. Don will be lovingly remembered by Vicki, his wife of 50 years; sons Clint (Dana) and Ashley (Paula); grandchildren Emily and Ethan; sister Pat (Richard) Obirek; sisters-in-law Judy Cannon and Joan (Larry) Domanski; brothers-in-law Brian and Leonard Bunzeluk; his dog Ozzie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Don worked as Lead Hand of the Bearing Shop at the CNR Transcona Yard for 38 years, over which time he won many awards for his hard work and ingenuity. Don loved fishing, animals, watching the Jets, and spending time at the lake. Don loved nothing more than spending time with his family. As a devoted husband he didn't need an occasion to show his true love for Vicki and how special she was to him. Throughout his life he always put the needs of his family before the needs of himself. He never missed one of Clint's or Ashley's hockey or soccer games when they were growing up. He loved getting together for family dinners. But more than anything, he cherished the time he got to spend with the two little lights of his life, Emily and Ethan in recent years. A Celebration of Don's life will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the charity of one's choice.
