Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • The world has lost another gentle soul. Always referred by us Dutch immigrant children as Oom Ad as a sign of respect for the dear friends of my parents who were so close to Ad and Aagje. They will now be able to be together again in Heaven. Rest in peace Oom Ad. - Posted by: Bill Spanjer (Family Friend) on: May 12, 2017

  • Every year at X-Mas I called Ad en Aagje from Switzerland and we made plans to visit them. This year we can come and now they will look at us from above! Our thoughts will be with all of the family on Saturday and we wish all of you a lot of support, love and understanding during these difficult moments. Sincere condolences and our deepest sympathy to all of you. Patrick, Ellis, Yvan, Lisa, Laura - Posted by: Ellis Siggen-Hessel (Daughter from Piet and Mies Hessel) on: May 11, 2017

  • Dear family, With great sadness we heard of Ad's passing away. He outlived all his siblings, I hope with much joy and happiness. My father Ton, his brother, loved him dearly and was moved to tears when Ad visited him on his deathbed in 1997. "My little brother! My little brother came!" He was so happy to be able to see him. This was a moment I will never forget. We didn't meet Ad a lot, the distance played a part in it, but to us uncle Ad and aunt Aagje belonged to our beloved family. They will both be missed here. I'd like to offer you my sincerest condolences and would like to assure you that the love for my uncle and aunt is naturally passed on to their children, our cousins. Love you lots, wishing you love and strength in these sad times. Gabrielle - Posted by: Gabrielle van Klaveren-Hessel (Niece) on: May 11, 2017
