Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHEINRICH (HENRY) METZLAFF April 22, 1934 - May 4, 2017 It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heinrich (Henry) Metzlaff on May 4, 2017. Left to Cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years Sharon; daughters Wendy (Ollie Sr.), Carey (Matt), Marilyn; grandchildren Sherrie, Ollie Jr. (Nicole), Rachel (Rob), London, Alyssa; great-grandsons Dylan, Nathan Colton, Tristyn, Matthiew; siblings Ed (Sonia), Emma; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

I got to know Henry because I am Sharon's Avon Lady. He was always very friendly to me and seemed to be a very quiet and gentle man. He often would play his harmonica or would be working out in the yard. He was always doing something when I can to visit. I just saw him a few days before his passing and he seemed really good. What a shock to hear. My deepest condolences to Sharon, a dear friend, and the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Henry. Our hearts are with you all. Please remember he will always be with you. When the sun shines warm on your cheek that will be him giving you a kiss. When that light breeze blows in your ear that is him telling you he loves you. When you see that bright star in the sky that is him watching over you. When you feel that light rain fall that is him crying because he misses you as much as you miss him.
