Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERBERT MUELLER December 26, 1932 - May 19, 2017 It is with great love and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected, but peaceful passing of our Dad, Opa and Grossopa, Herbert Mueller, on May 19, 2017, at the age of 84. Herb was born on December 26, 1932 in Korist, Ukraine. In 1954, he immigrated to Canada at the prompting of his brother August and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He joined McDermot Avenue Baptist Church where he met and married his wife Gisela in 1956. Herb's dream had always been to have his own business, and so in 1959 he purchased Quick Transfer and together they built up the family business and raised their five children. He worked hard, found community and proceeded to give his heart and soul to building a strong family and legacy. He would take every opportunity to attend a hockey or soccer game to cheer on his grandchildren. Herb was best known for his hearty handshakes, hugs and huge smile. He remained committed to his church, but most importantly to his Lord and Saviour. Herb gave generously, loved unconditionally and was much loved in return. He taught us how to work hard, always give your best, love the Lord, and live life well. Left to cherish his memory are his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One daughter and four sons, Doris (Rolf) Kannwischer, Ralph (Bonnie), Wilf (Sharlene), Harvey (Cindy) and Mark (Monika) Mueller. Grandchildren: Lisa (Jonathan), Scott (Lindsay), Kyle (fiancée Rachel), Christian, Kelsey (Brennan), Elan, Breanna, Allison (Mark), Jessica, Ryan (Mikaela), Kristen, Britta, and Carson. Great-grandchildren: Riley, Brynn, Selah, and Heidi. He will also be missed by two sisters in Germany, Herta (Walter) Marsell, and Ruth (Reinhard) Johann. He was predeceased by his wife Gisela; one daughter at birth; his brothers, Christian, Jonathan and August; and his parents, Adolf and Ottilie Mueller and step-mother Ida Mueller. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, 821 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Nutimik Foundation, a place that was near and dear to his heart.

Many years ago Herb was my Sunday School teacher at McDermott Baptist Church.... and throughout the years whenever we met, and those times were too infrequent, we always instantly recognised each other and he always had the smile and handshake mentioned above.... Sincere condolences to the family and staff at Quick Transfer.... Siegfried Laser - Posted by: Sig Laser (friend) on: Jun 01, 2017

So sorry to hear of the passing of one very special person. Herb, you will be sadly missed. I can honestly say Mr. Mueller you were my favorite "Mover". I've known you for so many years. I worked moving the military for 36 years, so that's probably how long I've known Herb and his family. My sincere condolences to the whole Mueller family. - Posted by: Karen Packer (Associate) on: May 31, 2017

I knew Herb for many years when I worked at A. Adams Supply and we always got along very well together. I knew that he had been sick for quite a while and am relieved that he is now at peace. R.I.P. my friend. - Posted by: Dan Mason (Friend) on: May 27, 2017

Herb was a larger than life personality who brought his best to every situation with his positive energy and can-do spirit. He will be forever remembered as a tough but fair man who had a heart for people and compassion for those in need and always willing to pitch-in and lend a hand to what-ever needed to be accomplished. A leader by example and person of great integrity it was a privilege to work for him, with him and also observe his valued friendship to my father! Whether in the Whiteshell or even in Mexico there were never enough fish to be hooked between Herbie and Schulzie! Herb - your energy, zest for life and laughter will be missed! All the best to the Mueller Family during this time of remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived! God Bless you in your time of mourning! We will miss his gorgeous smile and his warm hugs but most all his positive outlook on life and his " thumbs up" agreeing with you. When I first meet your parents over 25 yrs. ago they made me feel so welcome to the church family. I will miss him dearly. To his family, we send our deepest sympathy in the lost of their Father. - Posted by: Eric and Mary Eisbrenner (Friend) on: May 24, 2017
