Date of Passing: Jun 13, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA (VICKY) FEDOROWICH With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Victoria (Vicky) Fedorowich, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 95. Mom was born on April 22, 1922 in Polson, MB to parents John and Maria Chrapchynski (nee Oleksiw). She was the youngest of her seven siblings. Mom married our dad Jerry in 1953 in Winnipeg, sadly Dad passed away suddenly in 1984. Remaining to cherish Mom's memory are loving daughters Joan (Gordon), Joyce (Ken), and her precious granddaughter Brittany (Alex). Mom is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary Federowich, Sister Mary Benilda, Vicky Prestayko, Kay Baran, Ivy Malanchuk, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was predeceased by her parents and all her siblings and in-laws: Nick (Jean), Pete (Allie), Annie (John), Mike (Julie), Katie (Iradion, Peter), Sophie (Ignace), Nellie (Paul), and many other extended family members. Mom was genuinely a sociable person, never turning down an invitation and always eager to take part in many events. She enjoyed her travels to Hawaii, Alaska, Nashville, Caribbean cruise, and most recently by motorhome to Sudbury and Kingston, ON. She enjoyed many years at the cottage in Komarno and Lac du Bonnet. Mom was born into a musical family and also acquired musical talents learning to play the violin and cymbaly. Her talent was passed onto her daughters and granddaughter. She always looked forward to attending their performances. In earlier years Mom was employed by Paulin Chambers and The Winnipeg Tribune. In retirement Mom enjoyed her involvement with the Age & Opportunity Senior Centre, and most recently at the Bleak House until she was admitted to the hospital in January 2017. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all who visited Mom during her five month stay in the hospital, your thoughtfulness and kindness meant so much to her. Special thanks to Dr. Abbott and staff of the 4th floor Unit 11 for their outstanding and compassionate care. Mom repeatedly said she didn't know how she could ever repay them for the care they all provided. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Nicholas Church Improvement Fund or to a charity of your choice. Vichnaya Pam'yat CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

We're so sorry to hear of your loss. Vicky was a amazing lady, who touched many hearts. I'll always remember how Vicky/family welcomed everyone who came to their home. No one would ever leave there hungary, many stories were told and a drink in hand. Always looked forward to snow days, as this meant a cozy home to stay and Vicky's cooking. We'll miss her dearly - Posted by: Larry & Charlene Sharbell (Friends) on: Jun 17, 2017

My heart is very heavy for your loss. My mom and dad cherished many moments of laughter and conversation with Vicky and I was blessed to enjoy a delicious Boxing Day meal with her, Ken, Joyce and my parents. We laughted and talked about the farm and cooking and canning and Vicky shared her wisdom. Vicky is a beautiful soft soul and she has passed those adoring traits on to her beautiful daughters (Joyce). Our mom's are enjoying a glass of wine together again. - Posted by: Barb Dufour (Joe & Colleen Rindall daughter ) on: Jun 17, 2017
